Somarest is an international company with solid growth, built on tradition, expertise, and continuous investment in quality and innovation. In Romania, our story began in 2002, with the opening of the first workshop in Cisnădie — a town with a strong tradition in the textile industry, recognized for its manufacturing culture and specialized workforce, factors that supported the development of our leather goods activity. In 2008, against the backdrop of sustained business growth, Somarest expanded its production capacity by building a second workshop in Avrig. This strategic investment strengthened the company’s position and contributed to increasing operational capacity, as well as improving the efficiency of production flows. After 22 years of activity in Cisnădie, the company marked an important new chapter in its development. Starting in 2024, the activity of the Cisnădie workshop was relocated to Sibiu, where a modern workshop was inaugurated, adapted to the latest technological requirements and international standards. Today, Somarest continues to develop its international presence, remaining faithful to the values that have formed the foundation of its success: quality, innovation, and operational excellence.
