Cristian Oroșanu

Cristian Oroșanu's professional reputation has determined his presence on major stages since his early years, harmoniously integrating an international career with leading orchestras such as Tonhalle Zurich, BBC Scottish Orchestra, Orchestre de Paris or Deutsche Symphonie Orchester Berlin, with a significant activity in Romania, working with most of the Romanian concert institutions. He is currently the permanent conductor of the Brașov Philharmonic. Cristian was involved in the launch of a young orchestra in Japan (Hyogo PAC Orchestra) and founded a new orchestra in Romania: Kamerata Kronstadt. He likes projects that go beyond the classical models: in 2022 he created the Orchestra's Conductor Competition, an original project where the winners of the conducting competition are chosen by the members of the orchestra and not by an external jury. He is a graduate of the National University of Music in Bucharest, in the class of conductor Cristian Brâncuși, and has been privately trained under the famous professor Constantin Bugeanu. At the International Bach Academy in Stuttgart, he benefited from the guidance of conductor Helmuth Rilling.
