Andrei Văleanu

Born in 1996 in Ploiesti, Dan-Andrei Văleanu grew up in a family of musicians. At the age of 7 he began studying music at the “Carmen Sylva” Art College in Ploiesti. Throughout his high school years, he won important prizes at national and school competitions. At the age of 15, he gave his first concert as a soloist with the “Paul Constantinescu” Philharmonic in Ploiești, followed by five others with the Ploiești institution and one with the “Mihail Jora” Philharmonic in Bacău in 2020. After graduating from high school in 2015, he began his undergraduate studies at the National University of Music in Bucharest, in the clarinet class of Professor Emil Vișenescu. During this period, he focused mainly on orchestra and chamber music.  
He has been a member of the National Youth Orchestra since 2016 and has collaborated with orchestras such as the “George Enescu” Philharmonic in Bucharest, National Radio Orchestra, Radio Chamber Orchestra, “Paul Constantinescu” Philharmonic in Ploiești etc. Since finishing his undergraduate studies, he has started focusing on chamber music and event organization and collaborates in projects such as SoNoRo Festival (2021, 2022), SoNoRo Musikland (2022), Eufonia Festival (2022), Romanian Chamber Orchestra (2023) and SoNoRo Conac (2023). In 2021 he founded the Sync Association together with his sister, Ioana Văleanu. The projects they develop center around young people and chamber music and are mainly organized in Prahova county.
